Carnegie Library - Sycamore

The historic Carnegie Library in Paxton, Illinois.  On January 13, 1903, the city of Sycamore was awarded a grant of twelve thousand dollars by Andrew Carnegie for the construction of a public library.  Designed by architect Paul O. Moratz, this library opened its doors Thanksgiving Day, 1905 and still operates as a public library today (2021).
