Route 66
Route 66 has long existed as more than just a highway — it is a symbol of movement, memory, and the American impulse to explore. First opened on November 11th, 1926, the “Mother Road” now approaches its 100th anniversary. This project follows the historic stretch from Chicago to Oklahoma City, documenting small towns and roadside relics that define the route today. Through these images, I aim to capture the intersection of past and present: the faded neon signs and restored landmarks, the quiet communities shaped by shifting travel patterns and the timeless allure of the American road trip.
