MISSIONS

of SAN ANTONIO

The San Antonio Missions represent one of the most significant historic landscapes in the United States and are preserved today within San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. This photography project documents the architecture, grounds, and atmosphere of the Spanish colonial missions that line the San Antonio River—Mission Concepción, Mission San José, Mission San Juan Capistrano, and Mission Espada—as well as Mission San Antonio de Valero, better known as the The Alamo. Together these historic sites form the San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site, recognized internationally for their cultural and historical importance.
